Child Care in Canada
Child Care in Canada affects millions of families across the nation and YWCA Canada is the leader in proving child care accessibility for Canadian families. According to Statistics Canada, over half of all pre-school aged children in Canada are in a non-parented child care situation, and child care costs are a continuous factor that families have to consider, especially in rural areas where the rates see the most rapid jumps (2006). Also, finding quality childcare is of the utmost importance to all parents, but unfortunately only 80% of Canadians polled were "very satisfied" with their day-care.
