During elections, there are opportunities to speak directly to candidates and ask them about the issues that are most important to you. The following are some questions you may consider posing during candidate debates or forums in the next civic, provincial or federal election. (In alphabetical order by topic)

Issue: Aboriginal Women

Q. What will your party do to extend Canada's human rights legislation so that the fundamental human rights of Aboriginal women living on reserve are protected?

Issue: Child Care

Q. Will your party support a publicly funded, universal, high quality, inclusive, not-for-profit child care system for Canada's children from birth to twelve years old?

Issue: Divorce Act on Custody and Access

Q. Will your party commit to amending the Divorce Act in a way that will truly protect the best interests of children, as well as the equality and safety of all women? If so, How?

Issue: Health

Q. What will your party do to ensure that we have a publicly funded and publicly delivered universal health care system?

Issue: Housing

Q. Will your party establish and implement a National Housing Plan or Strategy to address women's needs with respect to housing access, retention, adequacy and affordability?

Q. Does your party have any specific plans to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act to remove those sections that discriminate against women?
